The former US Department of Education Senior Policy Advisor suggests that the our educational system is not based upon children learning. Is the Carnegie foundation instrumental in developing a socialist-collectivist style educational system that is detrimental to our youth? Are the elites impacting the development of the general population through our school systems?"chychohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03780939672952610970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6925344575983663234.post-34790740678391976202013-05-19T10:44:22.094-07:002013-05-19T10:44:22.094-07:00The main difference between our current system and...The main difference between our current system and one that promotes the internal growth of the human is that internal growth implies 'to know oneself'. Our current system is based upon the accumulation of external 'things' - money, possessions, degree's etc that keep humans occupied with only their external 'reality'. Western civilization is based upon the divide and conquer method, and it's success is in turn based upon external accumulation. To keep the wheels of capitalism going, the many must be subjugated by the few. It's a massive pyramid scheme, and we get told that if you get enough (power), you too can be 'at the top'.
Learning that you are not an accumulation device upsets this dynamic in the most profound manner. When you discover you are valuing the valueless, and you no longer wish to participate in the 'game' (religion, politics, etc.) - this sparks the deepest fears of those who wish to maintain the control of their possessions and power. No matter how small this sense of 'power' may be.
If you find the internal journey of greater interest than the external one, you will discover it is no easy task to achieve deep inner awareness. That being said, the difficulty does not mean it's not possible, just that at the moment few will choose to be with it long enough to truly 'see' any result. If one does spend the time - they will recognize how deeply each human is connected to the 'other'. That the details of their story may be different, but the same emotional content will be what gives rise to 'problems'. Richardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06713148426095862953noreply@blogger.com
